for something different for your next group gathering?
Try our fun, one-day Introduction to Rock program and discover the thrill
of rock climbing and rappelling! This is an excellent activity for groups
of friends and family. Birthday parties, staff parties and family get-togethers,
folks from all ages will enjoy this fun day filled with adventure!
Once we introduce you to the basic equipment, knots and belay systems,
you'll have an opportunity to rock climb and rappel in the scenic Skaha
Bluffs for the day!

Rock: 2 Days The 2-day Basic Rock course is our most
popular entry level program, having introduced hundreds of new
climbers to the sport of rock climbing over the past twelve years.
This is an excellent introduction to the fundamentals of safe,
roped climbing. The goal of this program is to introduce you to
the basic principles so that you can begin to confidently set
up your own top-rope climbs with climbers of your own ability.
Learn about product knowledge, use and care of the equipment,
hazard assessment, rope management, knots, cliff edge protocol,
simple top-rope anchor systems, anchor threads and retreat skills,
belay systems, movements skills and rappels using a back-up system.

| Top Rope Anchors: 1
Day Perhaps you have some basic climbing and belay experience
with friends or from a climbing gym background but constantly find yourself
second-guessing your buddy's anchor system?
Safe top-rope climbing begins with sound anchor construction. This
course will instill you with the confidence and knowledge to safely
build and recognize solid top-rope anchors. Learn about product knowledge,
hazard assessment, rope management, knots, top-rope anchor systems,
cliff edge protocol, anchor threads and retreat skills, plus a belay
refresher and rappels using a back-up system.
This is also an intensive refresher.
Prerequisites: Previous outdoor top-rope or gym climbing
experience.

You'll be amazed at how much more there is to learn about Sport
Lead climbing than just clipping bolts!
Lead climbing is the next logical step for the seasoned top-rope
climber. This course is for climbers mentally prepared to lead
well protected single and multi-pitch bolted routes.
Topics include product knowledge, hazard assessment, rope management,
knots, cliff edge protocol, anchor systems, lead climbing strategies,
clipping quickdraws, anchor threads and retreat skills, dynamic
lead belays, top-down belays, seconding a lead, multi-pitch rappels
using a back-up system and simple rescue skills.

Placement Protection Lead Climbing - 1 Day:
Master the art of placement protection. Learn the fundamentals to
become a competent sport and traditional single pitch and multi-pitch
lead climber.
This intensive program can either be one or two days in duration,
depending on the participant's skill base and personal objectives.
Single pitch skills are taught on the first day, followed by an
optional second day on our multi-pitch lead climbing course. Topics
include; product knowledge, hazard assessment, rope management,
knots, top and ground anchor theory, multi-directional placement
protection anchors, lead climbing strategies, dynamic lead belays,
top-down belays, seconding a leader, multi-pitch strategies, retreating
from a route, multi-pitch rappels using a back-up system and basic
rescue skills.
Prerequisites: Experienced top-rope, gym lead
or sport lead climber, comfortable top-roping to an easy 5.10
standard outdoors.

Multi-Pitch Lead Climbing
- 1 Day
Multi-pitch placement protection lead climbing is the ultimate
goal for adventurous lead climbers. Multi-pitch lead climbing tests
the knowledge and experience of the lead climber when it comes to
creating safe, well designed, multi-directional placement protection
anchor systems and belay stations. Master the complexities of multi-pitch
placement protection climbing and learn the fundamentals to become
a competent, traditional multi-pitch lead climber.
This intensive day of training is best complimented by having
either taken our 1-Day Placement Protection Lead Climbing course
as a prerequisite or similar lead climbing experience.
The goal of this program is to empower you with the knowledge
to begin safely lead climbing straight-forward placement protection
multi-pitch crag and alpine rock routes.
Prerequisites: Either our 1-day Placement Protection
Course or some previous single pitch placement protection lead
climbing experience.

Rock Rescue: 1 Day
Whether you are an experienced lead climber or a novice climber seconding
routes, would you have the skills to respond to an emergency to your party
or to a party close to you? Learn the techniques to become self reliant,
with the ability to perform improvised self-rescue skills. These essential
rescue systems meet the professional Association of Canadian Mountain
Guide standards using minimal equipment.
There are basic rescue skills and more advanced skills that we may
teach on a one-day course, depending on your previous experience.
Skills include; product knowledge, hazard assessment, cliff edge protocol,
rope management, knots, anchor systems, securing an injured climber,
escaping belays, Z-pulley raising systems, lowering systems, prussic
systems, advanced rappels with back-up system, counter-balance and tandem
rappels.
The goal of this program is to give you the skills and knowledge to
successfully facilitate an improvised rescue with nothing more than
what a lead climber would carry with them at any given time.
Prerequisites: Basic Rock or similar rope handling
experience.

potential with this comprehensive top-rope and lead climbing course!
This intensive four-day program delivers the goods. How far we
go with this program only depends on the experience and abilities
of the participants involved. For anyone who knows rock climbing
is 'his or her bag', then this is the way to go!
Course content may include; product knowledge, hazard assessment,
rope management, knots, cliff edge protocol, top-rope and ground
anchors, ground and top-down belays, movement skills, advanced
multi-pitch rappels, anchor retreat skills, sport/traditional

Alpine Rock 3+ Days
Discover the exhilaration of climbing and traversing awesome granite spires
in the warm, dry Cascade Mountains of British Columbia’s Cathedral
Provincial Park. Alpine Rock allows you the opportunity to learn while
climbing technical summits with a professional guide. This program can
be customized to fit your needs, whether you prefer an experiential guided
trip or a technical training course.
You begin by hiking into Cathedral Provincial Park to reach your alpine
meadows base camp. Your camp, located at 6,700’, is surrounded
by walls of 8,500’+ tall granite spires and ridges, many of which
you will climb over the duration of your stay. Your base camp is strategically
located, providing short access to the start of your climbs with quick,
easy descents back to camp at the end of each day.
If your capable group is large enough to hire two Guides at a 2:1 ratio,
then we can offer you the McCabre – Grimface Traverse. This ultra-classic
route includes two stunning tyrolean traverses between granite spires,
suspending you 1,800’ above the valley floor! Sunshine, granite,
technical summits and traverses, unspoiled scenery, no crowds –
spectacular! Allow us to guide you or your group for an ultimate peak
experience.

Packing experience recommended / Rock Climbing experience useful
